It seems like all my nail of the days here have been Zoya. For whatever reason it I've only been remembering to take pictures when I'm wearing it- but I am really liking Zoya a lot.
The last few days I have been wanting to put an orange on my nails so I decided to paint my nails Zoya Annie. I don't think that the picture online accurately depicts the true color. However, the description is fairly accurate. "Zoya Nail Polish in Annie can be best described as: A saturated coral-orange with slight red undertones, strong gold shimmer and slight bright green duochrome. A colorful counterpoint for bold prints and button-downs alike." I personally do not see it as a coral whatsoever.
I think that my swatches depict the color accurately. However, the pictures that showed the true color are a little blurry so I'm sorry about that.
As you may be able to tell, you can see the duochrome in the bottle but not really on the nails.
What do you think about this color or wearing orange nail polish? Orange is supposed to be a big color this spring (nails, lipstick, clothing etc). Will you wear this trend?
Like I said in a previous post I ordered the Zoya Intimate Collection when it was on sale. So today I'll be showing you Dannii and Caitlin which are both very pretty colors. I previously swatched Gemma so I still have Dove, Marley, and Jules to show you.
First up is Dannii. Dannii is a gorgeous purple color. It has a gorgeous shimmer to it (described by www.zoya.com as " Medium orchid purple with pink and champagne highlights and flecks of silver metallic shimmer. A unique metallic with a pop of fun color to keep your look fresh."
I wasn't sure how I'd like it on me but I ended up looking at my nails pretty often when this color was on.
Caitlin is a very unique color. I'd describe it as grey toned muted purple-blue color, which doesn't sound very pretty. But I love it! Zoya.com describes it as "Smoky purple-tinged medium gray with smooth, opaque creme finish. Sultry, mysterious and impossibly chic, a shade that will have everyone intrigued." And I agree with it somewhat but I'd say it's more of a purple than a gray.
So behind on these... and I paint my nails generally every other day. But I'll just do two nail of the days here.
First up is China Glaze Refresh Mint. One of my nails got a major smudge. I found that this polish is really think and I kind of hard to work with. However, it is very pretty. The next day the OPI Black Shatter I ordered from a blog sale (at a great price by the way) came in. I wanted to try it right away! So cool looking!
I work at an after school program and several of the girls there commented on how cool it looked. My friends also really liked it. I can't wait to try this out even more :)
Also, I ordered the Zoya Intimate Collection when it was on sale for $25 with free shipping (normally it is $48 plus shipping). For St. Patrick's Day I decided to paint my nails Gemma. It is very unique. It has a violet-blue sheen to it. I'd love to have a nude with the same sheen. I wouldn't say that this color is for everyone but I do like this color.
Well that is all for now. Several of my friends said they wanted to come over to paint their nails tonight so I'll try to take picture of their painted nails and try to post them here.
Last week I watched MissGlamorazzi's youtube video called Nail Tutorial: Cute Cupcakes. I thought it looked really easy and really cute.
One of my friends from home came for lunch last week and I said I saw something online that showed how to do cupcake nails and asked her if she wanted me to try (every time she comes over we paint nails). And being her, she said yes.
I know it's no where near perfect but I think it turned out pretty well for my first time doing anything like this. My friend is a waitress at a retirement home and she said at work that night she went around to all the tables showing them off. People even thought that she got her nails done by a professional!
The main blue color was Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Blue Away by the way.

So I was inspired after seeing MissJenFabulous's spring nail polish video to buy some spring colors (like I really need it).
First up Sally Hansen
Blue-Away is an Insta- Dry and very pretty. It applies darker than it appears in the bottle but I'm really enjoying the polish on my toes.
Green With Envy is a pretty lime green with a creme finish. They had a few spring greens in the Insta-Dry collection as well (Jade Green and Chartreuse Green were gorgeous).
Lacey Lilac is a, well, lilac color. It, like all the other Sally Hansen colors I bought, is a creme finish.
Mellow Yellow is a medium toned yellow and it's the first yellow I've owned since I was a little kid.
I picked up two China Glaze colors when I went to Sally's searching for China Glaze Crackle.
Laser Lime is part of the Tronica collection, a holographic CosmoProf and Sally's exclusive collection. Most bloggers say that these aren't very holographic and I would agree. Compared to swatches I've seen of the OMG collection they do not. Even in the bottle you can't really see it. But in direct sunlight this polish has it and it's gorgeous. I wanted to keep looking at my hands when I was driving today! I couldn't quite get an accurate swatch of this one. It's a little brighter in person.
I've been wanting to get Flip Flop Fantasy to pair with the Cracked Concrete after China Glaze twitpic-ed this combo. I couldn't find Cracked Concrete but I still wanted to pick up Flip Flop Fantasy just in case. This is a really hard polish to photograph. It's a neon pinky orange or orangy pink (I can't decide).
Back when Zoya was having the three free polish promotion I ordered a few polishes and Kelly was on back order. Having sent it to my house I did not get it until this week when I was home for spring break.
I also went to Ulta in search of the Crackle collection and spotted this Essie color on clearance. Movers and Shakers is a sheer (perhaps jelly) light hot pink color (if that even makes since).
A few weeks ago I finally broke down and ordered a few colors from the OPI Texas Collection. For whatever reason my camera doesn't want to photograph the three sorbet colors I bought (Do You Think I'm Tex-y, Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em, and Guy Meets Gal-veston). I also bought San Tan- tonio which is a great nude color.
I also ordered the Zoya Intimate Collection when it was on sale for $25 shipped and OPI Black Shatter (from a blog sale- very reasonably priced too!) so I'll get those soon.
